How it all Began
My journey into pet sitting started over a decade ago when I cared for friends' and neighbors' pets. As a pet parent to two little anxious dogs, I knew firsthand how stressful boarding facilities could be. We needed a better option, and that’s when we found Ann-Marie—a pet sitter who took care of our pets in our home. She was a game-changer, and her compassionate care inspired me to offer the same service to others.
What began as a side hustle quickly grew as friends and neighbors saw the need for reliable, in-home pet care. After moving to San Marcos, I made it official—launching Wags to Whiskers Concierge as a fully insured and bonded pet-sitting business.

A Life Devoted to Care
Before becoming a full-time pet sitter, I spent 25 years as a Surgical Technician in the medical field. I then dedicated the next 20 years as a stay-at-home mother and home educator, raising my family and caring for our small hobby farm filled with all kinds of animals. Animals have always been part of my life, and caring for them—and the people who love them—is truly my passion.
